Our Story
Raj Shah
Owner, Instructor
CPR Classes NJ was founded in 2025 by Raj Shah, a medical student at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, with the goal of changing how CPR is taught and experienced.
Before medical school, Raj worked as an EMT, where he saw firsthand how critical those first few minutes of an emergency can be. In those moments, confidence and quick action matter just as much as knowledge. At the same time, through both taking and teaching CPR courses, he noticed a gap—many classes focused on checking boxes for certification but didn’t truly prepare people to act in real-life situations.
CPR Classes NJ was built to close that gap.
Raj designed each class to feel different from the traditional CPR course. Instead of passive learning, the focus is on hands-on practice, real-world scenarios, and building confidence under pressure. The goal is not just to help students pass a course, but to make sure they walk away actually ready to step in and help when it matters most.
With accurate, up-to-date information and experience as an instructor, Raj brings both clinical perspective and practical teaching into every class. Whether working with healthcare students, professionals, or community members, the emphasis is always the same—clear instruction, active participation, and real understanding.
As CPR Classes NJ continues to grow, the vision is to expand to new locations and offer additional courses, while staying committed to the same core mission: making high-quality, practical CPR training more accessible and more meaningful.
